Old or New?
How many of you prefer the old Rolex and how many the new? Vote (more than one if you want) between SeaDweller, MasterII and Submariner (old or new).

It's highly subjective, and I wouldn't want to offend anyone. If you like it that is all that counts! Having said that, I really like what they have done with the Sea Dweller. As far as GMT and Sub, I am still trying to get used to the newer case style. I am wondering if it's like when a new car model comes out, and I say how much I like the old model better, until the old one starts to seem dated to me.. This is different however because each model is an icon, so it boils down to whether you like "classic" or "new"...
How's that for politically correct? |

I like new GMT IIc! And for the rest...I could live with old cases!
IMHO, all of them are really beautiful watches!

I generally prefer the older design/look, mainly because they are classier and simply more 'Rolex'.
I especially dislike that the new Sea Dweller has those words " ORIGINAL GAS ESCAPE VALVE " " RING LOCK SYSTEM ". There are so many of those letters (36!!), and they are as big as, if not bigger than the letters spelling 'ROLEX' (only 5!). It's not the sort of thing that would have appeared on a Rolex, and IMHO well.... more than a bit tacky.

I voted the old Sub and GMT as I don't fancy the larger lugs and markers on the new ones.

The new TT black sub has more of an crisp bezel to it, but until i can afford one i'm going to have to stick with the old model....Vintage..

SD #16600 for me
The DSSD looks really, really good, especially that matte dial. Bought one, but the minute I put it on, I knew it wasn't for me. My trusted SD remains one of my favorites.
