Fountain Pen Ink Suggestions
I have a few Mont Blanc fountain pens and have only used Mont Blanc ink. I want to try some of Noodlers bullet proof ink but have read that they can cause problems if the pen isn't frequently washed. I know my limitations and being vigilant enough to change ink every 2 weeks is more than I can count on. Currently I use Mont Blanc's Racing Green as it is the most water resistant without going to the Blue-Black iron gall. What are your thought's on Noodlers or suggestions on a water proof ink. Is there such an ink that is water proof and low maintainance like water based inks?

Hey Browining,
I just bought some Aurora black and Private Reserve Ink Lake Placid Blue today. I have only doodled a bit with the Private Reserve Ink and so far looks good may be a bit saturated.

I wouldn't worry too much about the bullet proof Noodlers if you can attend to your pen about every 6 -8 months or so.
Where people get into trouble is by letting it dry out in the pen. If this happens it will take some ink removing solvent to get it out and clean the feed and nib. It is a great ink!

Is there some basic household solvent that is suitable to clean out a Montblanc? I feel that I am guilty of letting one of my MB's run dry when I got my 146 MontBlanc.

Thanks for the information people. Noodlers does have some interesting colors I would like to try out. Being able to undo any damage I may do is very helpful. Stevo please keep us informed on how your MB turns out and what type of ink was in it.
