In 1992 I bought my wife a SS DJ on our honeymoon in Bermuda. Last year she shattered the crystal with some bits getting under the dial. She does not really appreciate the whole Mechanical Watch and Rolex thing so she never got if fixed. However, it DID really bother me to have a nice Rolex in the house that was not in working order. So this Christmas, I got the crystal replaced and the watch serviced. I still don't think she will appreciate it, but at least I FEEL BETTER.
