caseback marks

This is from my 6150 Explorer. It looks like it is the real thing, a 1953 6150 :) I will post some movement pictures in an hour or so.

Anybody recognize the case back marks put on at service? I think the RC numbers are "The Watch Repair Centre" Where I know it has been serviced a few times over is life. Or is is ROLEX Canada?

Here is the full size image just cropped a bit to save bandwidth. The file is about 1.2mb. If you download it into a web prowser, you may have to click on it to see it full size.

Wonder what the #18 stamp means. Looks like it might be factory, but I am not familiar with it.

Looks like the 5 digit numbers below that might be repair ticket numbers from "RC".

Always interesting. With a little information also comes a little mystery.

I’m pretty sure Rolex Service Center uses a code. After my ordeal with them and them telling me they did service after taking my watch apart. Maybe they have a code for each of their watchmakers?? If no one answers, you can contact an ex. Rolex watchmaker and they should be able to tell you. There is at least one of those on the boards..

Anybody recognize the codes? I am guessing the RC is the watch Repair Centre that I remember doing the work on it in the past. There is then the NWD from the 1960-1970. I haven't had any luck finding info on that on. The only other one TO, which I can't find any info on either.

Is the a link to a list of watchmakers and their marks?
