This is a hessfineauctions listing on ebay which is a 16610 Submariner circa 1989. It contains a replacement luminova dial and hands which are not original and not mentioned in the listing. If you bid on this watch, be aware that these are replacement parts and not original for this watch if you intend to restore it. This listing was brought to the attention of Jeff Hess but the auction was not corrected to indicate the replacement dial and hands, which are a very significant part of the watch.

I believe that skeleton hands is what Rolex calls them.

I thought skeleton hands were not solid - had openings in the middle. I could be wrong - would not be my first, or last, time.

Hello All, my name is Anna and I post the majority of the watches for Hess Fine Art. I just wanted to post and say hello.
I am not a watchmaker nor expert.
The only information that I personally access is the date, measurements, overall condition and condition of components.
I also photograph each timepiece myself and encourage a thorough inspection of each photo before bidding.
I appreciate any additional information about my listings - please don't hesitate to share as I am constantly learning! I take alot of care in inspecting each watch that I post, but as I said earlier, I am no expert... The watches are inspected by an expert before they reach my hands and any non-Rolex alterations, such as aftermarket diamonds, are always disclosed to me. I cannot yet recognize if certain parts were replaced or not and I really do my best to not misrepresent any item and always describe them to the best of my ability. Thank you for your observant eyes and I will continue to do my best. :)
