talk to me about my PAM 024

I loved the look of the PAM024 dive watch. So much so that I traded my Rolex Sea Dweller (not deep sea) and some cash for the PAM.

So tell me what you think about the PAM024 (i.e. it's pretty; it's accurate; it's highly prized, etc.). Have you sold a PAM024 before and regretted it? Thanks!

This is the first and only Panerai that actually got me interested in them! The 24L has been on my list for quite a while.

i have been eyeing a Panerai Submersible for a few days now. i kinda like the bulky look of it.
i love the green dial of the 382 and i also like the waffle dial of the 25 and the 1950 case of the 243.

i think i will eventually go with a 25.... (unless a miracle happen and i get to get a 382 at MSRP )

Submersibles are very nice... love the thick and chunky case. That bronzo 382 is especially nice!

The Subs are beautiful looking watches. I've got my eye on the 243. Lovin' the brushed '50 case.

My most worn Panerai. Mine is extremely accurate and the luminosity is simply outstanding. The uni-directional bezel is firm and positive unlike some models that can turn rather easily.

It's not the most rarest Pam in the drawer, but as a daily wear that can take about anything any watvh can handle it outstanding.

You know Eric,...I know lots of owners wear a leather strap on the divers....I just can't wrap my head around it. I use a Ted Su dive strap or a bracelet.

The bracelet looks pretty good, but I really like that dive strap Mike.

Can't go wrong with the 24- a very respected piece & desirable because of its price range.

Just beware the early series (just after Richemont took over). The numbers on the bezel can fall out.

I thought about the 24, but opted instead for the 243 because of the chunkier 1950 case. Can't go wrong with any sub. They are distinctive and constant eye draw.

Awesome. Would like the 1950 case, but my experience is that it can be quite thick for me if it is similar to the 312 or the 359.
What are your thoughts in that? Can you show us some wrist pix? Thanks

Eric,

The 243 sits even higher on the wrist than the 312 or 359 because of the massive bezel. That is part of the appeal to me. It does make the watch a much more casual peice. Not something I would wear under a cuff. Sorry, no wrist shots at the moment. I'll try to snap one on the iPhone next time I pull it out for wear!

Love my PAM24 - only got it a short time ago - but find myself wearing it most days! It sits so well on the wrist for it's size...great aesthetic..and definitely a PAM to get!!!

I have mine on the rubber PAM strap - or as with Mike the Ted Su (but I have white stitching) - speaking of which I haven't got any pics of it on the Ted Su as yet

Will get onto that

I also have this strap on the way from Richard at Toshi straps.....Although I agree with Mike it seems strange to have the watch on leather....this one sings to me like no other

NOT my pic by the way....but this is the strap that's coming:

Here it is on my wrist with the PAM rubber:

and the leather it came on...also nice:

Sold for 187

Sold my A series 024 last year to buy a PAM 187 and I still regret it. I like the 187 but it was just to large and not practical for me to wear. But if you like a large beautiful Panerai and you have a big wrist it is a great option!

i have a 24J and although i do love it, i regret not spending a little more and getting the 25. I feel that titanium is perfect for the sportiness of the dive watch, and the waffle dial is rather unique. My suggestion is to try on the 24, 25, 243 and 305 before making your decision.

I like the 25's titanium case but I am abit disappointed that the pam 25 comes with a SS clasp. While it's got a titanium case.
