Icon14 Blue Sumo from the in-laws!

My Japanese In-laws picked-up a Blue Sumo for my birthday on their recent trip to Shibuya.

I've always had a soft spot for the nicer Seiko line and love my MM300. While it's not a MM300 or GS it's a fine piece well worth the price and will act as my new work beater.

I've always wanted a Sumo but was a bit apprehensive of the size and never did care too much for the bezel font, but the drool worthy chamfers more than make-up for those minor dislikes. Besides, the the watch's curved lugs fit my 6.5" wrist nicely and the font is growing on me.

Another thing that adds to the versatility being a Rolex owner is that the 20mm lugs (which some view as a disproportional fault of this large watch) is that all my 20mm NATO straps work.

There are plenty of pictures floating around that are FAR better than I could ever produce so I won't bother posting mine. Just thought i'd give Seiko some credit where it's due.

I too own one of these (SBDC003). It's a fantastic watch for the price ($600+ if purchased from a Japanese distributor) or for any price for that matter. I actually think its finish quality surpasses many watches that are twice its price.

A quick and dirty iPhone pic:
