Micah straps received...

I rec'd my Mauser and Metta straps from Micah yesterday.

They are quite nice. The Mauser is my favorite.

Two very fine Mucah straps.

The Metta always interests me....what is it about the Mauser that you prefer?

I must praise Micah's customer service as well. There was an issue with the Metta strap being too thick at the lugs. It was quite the struggle to attach the strap (lining up the pins was tough since the lug end was too thick.) I got it on, but the lug ends of the strap scraped against the case, and even against the sharp edges of the caseback. Chewed it up pretty badly.

I emailed Micah and a new one is in the mail already, probably arriving today or tomorrow. I will advise. It is great that a craftsman stands behind his product, and he certainly does!

The Mauser is softer, I like the color better, and I find the smooth texture appealing. The Metta has the history and wonderful smell from the willow back and birch oil treatment.

They are both nice additions to the collection.

Interesting, I had exactly the same experience with the Metta strap.
I've opted for another CU29 instead. I know and like that model from Micahs range.

Micahs customer service is the best, hands down.

Cheers
Richard

Yes the CU29 looks really nice. I expect the replacement to arrive today. I don't see Metta available on Micah's site today. I hope the new one fits ok. I know he'll make it good, but I hate to be one of those "unsatisfied" customers, even though for the $$$ it should not have that problem. Stay tooned.

Replacement arrived today! Looks and fits great! I decided NOT to use the Dr J's balm (that Micah ships) on it. Looks and smells fine as original....

The buckle is a Sparta brushed SS from Panatime, $10. The PAM 241 is 40mm and I personally find the Pre-V buckles too dominant for the watch. The thumbnail ardillon are a bit puny, so this is a good compromise. They are 6mm thick and substantial w/o being overbearing, a trait I treasure in my wife as well.

Yes when I got my strap the other week it had this long spiel about how he'll replace the strap if there is something not right or if it is damaged.
It is great to know he sticks behind his promises.
That is a rare quality.
