Pam 312 - 328 - 320 - 329 for first Pam
What do you guys think for my first Pam? I am also open to other suggestions but i think a date function is preferable. I think my search is almost finished and I have found some good deals on the 328 and 329. These are very close to the same price as the 312 and 320. What would you get and why? I also like the 359. Does the 328 and 329 have the quick release bracelet? I have yet to find one to try on. Thanks for your help.

I vote for 312 :) And if you're willing to spend a little more, the 233!
I never liked the 359..It's a PAM with mixed personality. The touch of vintage with the patina lume just doesn't mix with the modern touch of the arabics.. |

312 if you want to keep it fairly simple, or 320 if you like the GMT functionality. The 320 also has a small power reserve indicator on the back of the movement, and the 'zero reset' stop seconds. The GMT hand can be hidden behind the regular hour hand for a cleaner look
The 233 is a great PAM, but a different kettle of fish (more complicated, manual wind) and much more expensive Personally I don't like PAMs on bracelets - just does not look right to me

So if you can buy the 312 and 328 for the same price would you still go with the 312.

Bracelet is heavier, but much more solid than strap. Weather proof too.

I was tossing up the 320 and the 312 and settled on the 312 and am very happy. I decided I didn't need the power reserve on the back, and the GMT function on the 320 is only twelve hours so not that helpful for me. I like the 233 but so far at least am preferring the uncluttered dial. Good luck with your quest and remember to post photos of your conquest! ![]() |
