Radiomir 287 stock Strap Width & Length ?
Yesterday, the 287 arrived, sensational, I'm well pleased.
Fits like a glove on my 7" wrist. When checking the strap size I was surprised to find the lug end width @ 26.5mm and, this is the surprising bit, the deployant end is 20mm wide. Did they change the deployant (and strap) width when they went to the 287? Are there any 287 owners out there who can confirm my finding. The 287 is an M series, new last year. New to me now. Aftermarket strap makers don't appear to cater for this size. No dealers within a few hundred miles and a big swim. Your knowledge, insights and opinions are welcomed of course. If they weren't I'd sit in the dark and lurk! Cheers Richard |

Not to fear Richard. Many strap options for the 287. Just look for 26mm or 27mm for the lug ends and you have a multitude of options for the buckle end. Some taper to a smaller 22mm or 24mm buckle or you can stay with a non taper. The fun is just now beginning. Welcome to Panerai.

287 comes with 27/20 strap. I STRONGLY suggest you try a 26/24. Best strap every for gators on a 45mm Rad. On an leather ammo, 26/26 all the way.

Yes, Plus one on the tan gator, that's simply beautiful!
I must admit to liking the deployant, though see that aftermarket suppliers cater mainly for the mainstream sizes. Looks like I'lll have to get with the program and buy a tang buckle. Again, that golden 'gator for want of a more apt description is simply stunning. Thanks too to the other members here for such a warm introduction to Panerai. Is it me, or is "TRF" seemingly more civilised/mature/genuinely friendly than the "other" strictly Panerai forum? Cheers Richard [IMG] ![]() |

Whilst new to Panerai (apart from a brief flirtation with a 177), I've been an aficionado for over 40 years. In the modest collection is an eclectic range from Gruen to JLC. Happy to be called a watch perve. Cheers Richard |

Thanks Eric, I find it difficult to achieve a camera angle which loses the reflection in the crystal. Slowly picking it up.
I love the watch, so comfortable. The wait was made easier by comments and camaderie from folk here. Good community this one. |

I was doing a search on Radiomir strap length and width and came up with this thread. Great photos! I just got a 287 myself and am looking at strap options as well. The tan/brown ones seem to fit so nicely!
Here's a wrist shot of mine: ![]() |

Great model, looks well on your wrist.
Yes, I had a penchant for brown straps. The #287 has moved on now, a very comfortable watch to wear, despite its weight. Something to do with that cushion case probably. I've had five Panerais over the past few years, there's not one of them I wouldn't like to own again. Can't say that about any other brand I've owned over the past 40 odd years, including Rolex. Yet it is TRF that's my favourite watch forum. Cheers, Richard |

Thanks. I especially like the Panerai on your avatar...may I ask what model that is? Looks great!
Yes, TRF is indeed a great place to be, very warm and accommodating people here. Quote:
