New SubC...black or green? (or both?)

Dear friends,

if you had the necessary budget, and if both new Subs were available, which one would you choose:
  • The Black
  • The Green
  • Both
  • None, not intrerested in the new Subs

Actually, I own both, and it is always a hard fight which one gets wrist time....

Please let me have your votes on that epic battle!

Hi, your pics are not coming through here!

When you open your watch box there must be one that takes your eye.
So which one is it!!??

I would vote both (can't vote as I'm on iPhone mode).
It is quite easy for me actually... Depending on my mood.

Happy - green
Okay-ish - black

To be fair though, the LV has seen pretty much all the wrist time. The LN just sits in the box.

I'm for the green (own it) and love the way the face changes color with light. I already have a the previous Sub model in black, so I needed some variety.

I voted for both. Those are two great watches. Can I ask a favor if you are so inclined. I would like to see the black subC with the green bezel. Ya know, like the old sub lv. If you could do that and take tons of pictures from all angles that would be awesome!

Given the option to have both, to me, presents a no-brainer. If I had to choose one over the other... Green for me!

Not really need to tbh. The 116610LV's dial looks black from almost every angle, except from looking directly at it under direct light.

I prefer the "new classic", the SS ceramic submariner.

Prefer the black. Not a huge fan of the green dial, the black and green looked so good together on the old LV, and very popular, not sure why they mess with perfection. But I guess you could argue the same regarding the sub in general.

I'd get both, and swap the bezels on them. The green gold dial is absolutely stunning, but for me with the green bezel it seems a bit too much green. Putting a black bezel around the green gold dial would end up in a stunning watch IMHO. Too bad noone has done it -- yet.

This is exactly what my wife told me to do....

Maybe I should really try it, let us see!

But, to be honest, my personal opinion:

Both are really GREAT watches, WOW, the new classics.

Black is more versatile and classic, green with its different shades is simply more beauitful...

One has to get BOTH!

Hi Engi,

I am a fan of classic, too, but you have to see the GREEN in flesh!

It is really a stunner, sooooo beautiful....

I never thought I would say this, but you need to listen to your wife. Then post pics and let the people here on TRF be the real deciding factor

I don't know what to choose, i like LN and i like LV.I am getting the black soon but i started to like more becouse i've heard of the green gold LV dial wich i belive will be better investment, but even so i still cannot choose between the two.

The green - simply put - looks very rich, but I don't think you'd see Mr. Bond, Special Ops, etc wearing the green one.

The black looks more sinister/industrial/survivalist.

Dunno, the AD got me both, and I bought black. Not that I don't like the green, just think that black has a classic look.

Since the question is on the table, I think a TT bracelet, SS case with with green face, yellow gold/ceramic bezel, and YG hands and markers on a green face might be killer. Wonder if Rolex has something like that planned.
