Do you think this hands set would match my 1680?

Hey guys!
I know it is hard to tell, but looking to get your insights.
The hands on my watch don't exactly bug me much, but I can't help but feel that it would be a 10/10 with non corroded hands, and stumbled across what I think is a really good match.
I could also always keep them in case the hands continue to corrode. It is never easy to find a matching set with patina.

What do you guys think?
Pick it up as it seem like a good match should I decide to change it in the future?
Leave it be?
Another random question that comes to mind is, what happens if say someone replaces his original matching hand set due to corrosion with another period correct set of matching hands, is it likely that the new hand set will age differently than the markers?
Wondering is the original ones are the likeliest to age proportionally to the rest of the watch basically.

Some pictures Ofcourse, and thank you in advance!

Difficult to say but the hands look a little darker.

You will not know until (at least) you receive the set.

Perfectly matched hands are not the norm imho. a shade off in either direction gives the watch some personality and most were this way before "tinkering". That's a nice watch and its not new so some "wear" is expected.

Think your watch is great. Mine is the same. Hands different than dial. It just matured that way. I would leave it alone imo. If you want grab the hands just to have them.

I think the hand set is relumed and the ones on your watch are original tritium. Thats what I think. Would love to see the other side of the hands, but I would bet $100 they are relumed based on the pics shown

For what it's worth, those original hands look pretty darn good to me.

X2 -

Hopefully the seller disclosed it, if in fact they are.. I would also be interested in seeing the backside..

I think your watch looks beautiful as it is. A good watchmaker could remove and/or clean yours. Nothing like keeping it original..

I must ask for pics of the back. How can you tell? - Just for my knowledge.

Nop he in fact said it was original tritium. Will ask though.

You think so? It would be very ideal if the greenish corrosion at the top of the minute hand could be cleaned a bit. Maybe I can look for a repute watchmaker that is known to be good with doing it.
Nothing else about this watch bothers me one bit. I am in love with it for real.

Your 1680 is really nice as-is. I wouldn't mess with it!

I am sure some of that corrosion (green stuff) can be cleaned. You will still have some of the long term effect on the hands but I think "all original" and you will be fine..

I'd keep the original hands. Part of the vintage charm!
