33 year search for grail watch!

There is an article in Town and Country magazine about a watch aficionado's 33 search for his Grail and found it last year: a new stainless Rolex Daytona with black face. He described the watch for men as the Hermes Birken is for women: a classic and almost universal symbol of taste.
He suggests dealers receive significantly fewer Daytonas, and black is the hardest to get( I thought it was white).
He spoke with collectors that said Daytonas are almost a religion for some.
Worn dressed up, dressed down, to the beach, to the boardroom; it is the prefect watch. It has history behind it, it's functional, durable, easy to wear, and very iconic. Just about anyone can recognize it. Even if they don't know what it is, they know it is something!
