Incoming 5905P

Watching the Masters and posting an incoming on on TRF makes for a great Saturday. After owning an annual calendar/chrono previously and flipping it I really missed this useful complication. This is my first platinum watch and I love it. At 42mm and quite thick, it's got a real sporty feel and isn't top heavy at all. The dial in real life has a very different look than the pictures on the Patek website, it's got real depth and the chrono font isn't as bold and white as it looks in pictures. It's very easy to read and a sixty minute counter makes it practical but not too messy. The long minute hand means it's very easy to set precisely. The lume isn't worth sh_t though, a minor detail that doesn't bother me. The sculpted lugs are beautiful, the pushers are smooth as silk and are mirror polished on all sides. I never thought much about the little diamond on Pateks platinum watches but it's extremely cool and reflects a rainbow of color. I couldn't be happier. It's been raining all day here in the Bay Area so I haven't been able to get any good outdoor pictures but will post some later this week. Here's one from indoors, hope you like it.
