Advice needed
Hi everyone! I don't know if this post should go here or in the general forum but anyway here it is.Last week I bought a pre-owned explorer ii. It's a D series, did some research and that means that the watch is from 2005. The watch is in great condition, looks brand new but still is an 11 years old watch. Do you think that I should take it to RSC? My primary concern is the water resistance. The watch is running quite good I think at +3.1 seconds a day. So.. What do you think? Time for a service or wait a little longer?

Hmmm ... Might be better in the general section, but .... Nice looking Explorer II! Case looks untouched. If the watch is running well, I'd just take it to a local watchmaker and have them do a pressure-check to make sure water resistance is up to specs. I wouldn't do a full service. (Others might disagree.) If you do take it to an RSC, tell them only to service the movement. Don't let them polish it! Good luck.

Seconding what u/swish77 said about service - and nice pickup! A somewhat underappreciated model IMO but I enjoy the heck out of my white-dial version.
