I always hated on the ceramic maxi case models because of the fat lugs and what not, I'm still not a huge fan but I must say I really like the DSSD.
After testing it to it's 3900m rating in our Rolex hyperbaric tester I can really appreciate the technology.

It's a bit large on my wrist but I can just pull it off IMO.

What size is your wrist, out of curiosity? Your wrist looks like mine when I wear my SubC.

The cool thing about the DSSD (well, ONE of the cool things) is that it doesn't have the squarish lugs of the Submariner maxi cases. It is able to be a big beefy case while still maintaining more classic lines.

I'm not sure about the thickness though, it's enormous.

DSSD is definitiely a sweet piece. Though I'm not really sold on the blue just from pics. Would have to see in person. As it stands the black one is sweet in my book.

Love the blue, one of the best rolex dials out there. Sadly I couldn't get on with the case size and weight.

No but I can take one next week, we test all Rolex watches in this machine as you can choose all depths up to 3900m on this thing.

it's just a very well made watch and the case construction to make it go this deep is really cool. Not sure if I'd ever buy a Rolex newer than 4-digit but I certainly like them.
But should I pull the trigger on a modern one it's most likely going to be a 116660, because the proportions are really good and I love the satin dial.
