Any personal experiences with Combat Straps?

I see they are in Canada...

Straps look nice - and only a 2.5 week turnaround? That's mighty fast. My current favorite strap maker is approaching 4 months.

Questions (yes I will ping the maker, but hoping for TRF reactions)

- How is the quality compared with other custom shops?

- Can you choose your lining?

- is the hole placement same as OEM? I.e. Do I need to adjust for anything on the strap length?

- Anything I should know?

Thanks in advance!

i got one and liked it. I have to send it back as the particular leather I chose has a defect, but that is not a knock. The craftsmanship is great.

Thanks.

In interested in an exotic skin - toad or ostrich maybe.

Do you get a choice of lining as well?

I see he quotes a price per skin...but wondering if there are add on costs? Guess I can email him...

But bottom line great craftsmanship with a 2 week turnaround?

I had Aaron put together a butterscotch stingray for my 190 and it turned out great.

Can't really beat the quality for the price.

His communications through email was great as well.

I think turnaround was 2 weeks and i'm on the west coast (he's in Montreal)

I recently got a custom stingray strap from him. Besides from an initial email, I communicated via whatsapp, which was definitely a plus. You can choose whatever you want, he's very accommodating. I sent him a draft of how I wanted my strap based on other previous works. Final price was on the high end for my taste, although in line with other quality strapmaker. I enjoyed his work.

Aaron has made numerous straps for me, for my 44mm Panerai, my 372 and also other watches. He is honest and efficient with his turn around. Workmanship is also top notch. You are in good hands.

Aaron has made me several straps including this Beauty for my Bell and Ross Rafale.
He is great to deal with and has very fair prices for the quality of the straps he makes!

I was out in Montreal a couple years back and met Aaron at his shop to pick up a strap. Chatted with him a bit and truly is a great guy with awesome straps.

I have had Aaron make a lot of straps for me. He's great to work with and more importantly for me is really willing to do custom work and use materials that I provide, such as vintage military leathers. Great quality and always responsive.

Combat Strap does awesome work and he uses the best materials.

I have bought about 10 straps from him the last 3 years.(Stingray,Alligator,Ostrich,Python and leather)
And the fit and finish is top notch.
And he is also willing to do custom straps made to fit specific endlinks and so on.( for example My Tudor Pelagos)

i have 3 straps in order right now and i cant wait:-)

So i give Combat Straps 10++ for awesome straps and customer service.

I'm on my fourth or fifth from him for my pams. (312,335 and 424). In fact I just received a new strap for my 424 yesterday. Two weeks turn around.

I'm a huge fan of Aaron. You won't be disappointed.

I actually just got a PAM438 in last week and was planning on getting Aaron to make something fun for it. But after wearing it for a week, I love the ceramic bracelet way too much to switch it out!

Aaron is great! I have 2 Combat Straps and have 2 more on order.

The quality and materials are amazing. I get so many complements on my straps.

You can't go wrong with Aaron at Combat Straps.

Aaron - Combat straps

Hello, I can highly recommend Aaron at Combat straps. Aaron's straps show an excellent level of craftsmanship. The fit and finish is excellent. His range of materials is very large. I have had Aaron's straps in Stingray, frog, Alligator, leather, python. I have had them made with all types of stitching.
The range of watches Aaron's has made straps for me include, Rolex GMT, Rolex Submariner, Panerai, Bell and Ross.

I just can't say enough about how good Aaron's straps are.

Hello everyone.
I just received a new strap from Aaron at Combat Strap and it was just absolutely beautiful, made of Shark skin and with red stitches that matched to the Red hands on the watch. I have been given an incredible amount of praise and comments on the quality. I can recommend Aaron strongly. I live in Norway and I sent over the original folding claps and until I got it back with attachable strap, there went two weeks. Absolutely fantastic

Ok. I've ordered an Ostrich skin strap for my 312.

Looking forward to it

Just ordered my fifth or sixth from Aaron. This one for my 614. We're going with a navy blue canvas and hand painted panerai submarine in the color of the fly back arm on the 614. I'm excited.

Do you have a picture of your Tudor with a leather strap made to fit the endlinks? Also, did he install the clasp to the end like the rubber B ones?
