So I went pen shopping for the first time in 15 years...

And I feel like I've been living under a rock. These TWSBIs are amazing pens. So pretty. I left with a couple TWSBI demonstrators and a Kaweco Al-Sport to join my everyday quiver. The metal Kaweco has a long way to go before matching the patina of my 20-year old Rotring.

Pictured from left to right:
  • Kaweco Al-Sport (EF) with Waterman Black
  • Rotring 600 Newton Multipen
  • Rolex Submariner 14060M
  • TWSBI Eco (B) with Iroshizuku Kon-peki
  • TWSBI Diamond Mini (B) with Diamine Rustic Brown

Nice looking pens. Too bad that generally the translucent plastic turns opaque with time. I guess we all turn opaque with time.

Or worse yet, cracks. Idk what happened but my pelikan demonstrator got a 1" hairline. Perfectly translucent still though.

I like my demonstrators clear and crack-free, too. Good thing those TWSBIs are cheap. The Eco was CA$38 and the Mini CA$70.

Ive heard they were generally pretty sturdy. I just liked the way the nib looked and wanted something that didn't use cartridges.

What a shame...!!! No doubt Pelikans are my favorite pens. So sorry.

Contact Pelikan and see if that will be covered by warranty.

Bought used so no warranty. I've considered sending it through chartpak which would be $35+parts but as I only paid $125 for It Idk if this would be a very cost effective option. Ive filled it below the crack a few times just to use it. I'm getting a Mont Blanc Rollerball for myself this XMAS so this might sit on the sidelines for a while. The nibs pretty tired too and could use some adjustment

Shoulda bout twsbis and saved some $$$ lol
