Well, Merry Christmas to me! (pictures)

Here's the story: I have had my eye on Panerai for awhile now, but hadn't really been able to pinpoint something I really had to have. I was thinking about the 676 for awhile, as I liked several aspects of it.

I liked the sandwich dial, the sunburst dial, the exhibition caseback, the small seconds dial, the crown guard and the size.

Let me be more specific on size: Whenever I tried on a more traditionally sized Panerai, it always felt too large and clunky for me. I don't have large wrists. I liked the look of the large Panerai, but it always felt like it was too much. So, I thought the 676 was a fair compromise.

Fast forward to Saturday, December 15th. I went to my local jeweler to take another look at the 676. The employee I work with (who is AWESOME) said to me, "You know, I think I know your tastes, and I want you to look at something else while you're here."

Then, she pulled it out: A PAM729. I immediately fell in love with it. I couldn't believe it. I had seen it in pictures online but they don't come close to doing it justice. Once I saw it, I knew the 676 wasn't it for me and that I had to eventually have it. Seeing as it was somewhat more expensive than the 676, I asked her for a little time to process it and make sure I wasn't being too emotional.

Fast forward again to Friday, December 21st. I couldn't shake the feeling so I decided to go back and make the purchase. I could not be more thrilled. I can't take it off and I can't stop looking at it! It's perfect as far as I'm concerned. I had them switch straps for me before I left that day. Here are the pics! (Last one is with my brother after Christmas mass).

Nice photos and wonderful Christmas gift! I love the thinner case and dial color of this Panerai model.
