Spotted on the internet the last weeks five 116234’s BNIB with jubilee bracelet and with the new card. Also noteworthy all available fully in the stickers. Two in the Netherlands and two in Italy and one in Spain. Dials White Roman, White Stick, Black Roman (mine now) Silver Stick and Silver Roman.
So I bought one a few days ago spontaneously, it came in today with FedEx. I am gonna peel of the stickers this afternoon.

Awesome ... ! So can you educate me on what’s going on here..!?? How is there a new style card for this watch .. I realize it was clearly new old stock, but, what I’m asking is does the AD it came from have the ability to apply for. New card or something ??

Thanxs :)

There is nothing going on. I suppose (my own thoughts!) that Rolex emptied his vaults with the discontinued references and sent them out to the AD’s with new cards and tags.
See pic below from my wife’s Rolex which we bought a few weeks ago, and also “old reference” 177200 with new style card. There are probably many more out there….

These watches were at the regional distribution center. Once watches are released from here they are given a new card and then sent to AD.

ADs do not have the ability to generate cards onsite.

This is interesting. A guy on instagram just posted a new watch - BLNR oyster NOS, new warranty card. Wonder what else is out there.

Beautiful classic right there in 36mm too

Wears great! Think ADs for any stock watches has their cards updated to the new format.
