What was I thinking?

When I saw this 16610V with black bezel and maxi dial, I jumped on it. What was I thinking?

Beautiful watch, but I don't get it. What is a maxi dial? Somebody on this forum told me a while ago that a maxi dial was one where the hour markers touched the minute markers, or something like that. Anybody have another explanation?

Peppermannen, i believe a maxidial has larger hourmarkers then the regular dials.

You were thinking that the black bezel and maxi dial looks pretty darned good.....and you're right.

I'm always thinking of buying a sub, and while I really would like a vintage 1680, I can't help but think a LV with a black bezel would be a better buy. Plus which you can always install the green bezel for when you're feeling *crazy*.

There's a super vintage sub where the dial is as you describe. That dial is referred to as a maxi also...but it's not the same dial in any way.

Peppermannen.
Jo bara fint i Sverige, synd bara att Svenska kronan är så lite värd just nu, Rolex är dyrt i Sverige. Det problemet har ni väl inte i Norge =)?

Sub Black dial and Sub LV maxi dial. Note bigger markers and thicker lume on the LV minute hand (hour hand is the same).

Serti dial (think of a Blue TT Sub with silver dial and diamond markers) NOT my Serti dial pix.
