Vulcan rubber straps?

I've been doing some research into rubber strap options for my 214270. We all know Rubber B and Everest (Horus doesn't make anything that fits the Explorer 1, AFAIK), but has anyone purchased a strap from Vulcan?

According to an interview with the company's owner, the straps are produced entirely in London "alongside rubber parts for NASA and Formula 1". He claims this as a differentiating factor from RB and Everest. In addition, the configuration tool allows you to pick from 7 different colors - these can be applied to the strap itself along with the keepers, for a mix and match look.

Based on what I've seen, the strap holes are placed closely enough to avoid fit issues, and all anecdotal evidence I've been able to find seems to suggest that they're high quality. Price point is the same as Everest.

All that said, why can't I find more information about them here?

The pricing of these and other rubber straps is pretty insane. I bought a rubber b used, but like new, for $100 but I’d never pay what these people are asking for 5-10 cents worth of vulcanized rubber. I guess they choose their price point based upon their audience but, thats one hell of a mark-up at $230...I may need to get into the vulcanized rubber business, higher margin than solid gold apparently

Clearly you understand the value, spending thousands of dollars on steel.

*sigh*

For $80 you buy the correct smarty end link for your watch. Then you can buy as many bands as you want for $25 to $100 each. Everest and others are rip offs.

Curious where can you find the smarty links?

Not everyone likes that look. I also don't see them as available for the 214270.

True - not everyone likes the look of endlinks with a strap.

I really dislike the look of end links with straps, to each there own.

I also hate end links on a strap, looks so much better without the extra metal there.

I like rubber straps. Haven't tried Vulcan though. I like the look, and have heard good things about them. I wouldn't mind getting one at some point.

I want to give them a shot, too. I wish there were more pictures of how the strap comes off the lugs - if it sticks more "out" like Everest, I don't think it'll work for me.

This post seems a lot like an ad than a genuine question about the brand for some reason.

I can understand that, but I have no affiliation with Vulcan or anyone else. I just don't see them get a lot of interest here or on WUS (I posted about them there too) and I was hoping members that have purchased these straps could give some more insight.
