What I understand, T = Tritium and L = Luminova.

Tritium is radioactive which emits, and it glows, but it doesn't glow forever.
Luminova is activated by external light sources.

Nowdays watches are painted with Luminova lume.

Usually you see "T SWISS MADE T" or "L SWISS MADE L" to denote what lume is used.

Wiki info here

Nothing beats Timex glow dail! (requires battries of course!)

T usually equals cash money!! Used in the A and some in the B series except for submersibles. Just another thing that harkens back to the history and gives the watch some Patina on the dial and markers.

Here is my old 1A, man I miss this watch and sold it before the prices went through the roof. Oh well, it went to a friend and a very good home.

The strap is a sick 26mm AMMO squeezed in, loved it.

I wonder why T= more $.
I understand people wanting a nice patina but how about a nice long lasting lume.
I have both T and L. While L glows bright all night, T is almost doesn't glow at all.
My 2cents.
