292 ceramic
26 pvd
maybe 26 will increase value, it's SE, but i don't buy watches thinking on money, for me just pleasure and i prefer 292.

Think 292 will be more valuable with the pig. Without the pig may be just a regular edition.

Are you buying the watch for yourself or to flip?

If it's for yourself..I always wonder why people put these posts up. In essence, you're asking other people to tell you what to buy. What happened to buying a watch for personal enjoyment? I never get why people ask others what's more desirable.

If you're going to flip, then different story..if you get either one at MSRP, you won't find too much of a problem selling for a some kind of profit. However, don't think you can make a killing on either one. Market prices have decreased considerably. Honesntly, they are overpriced watches and don't do anything for me. Movement is pedestrian and the mark-up is crazy. I would only buy at MSRP and only keep it for a short time.

I wasn't saying to flip... I should have asked which one you would buy if both were available... I love both and can't make up my mind which one I like better.. I wear all of my watches, I'm not a flipper.

Usctrojan: I'll take one of each over msrp, let me know if you can get one near msrp... You must be one of the guys that has 4 ss daytonas at their ad if you think you can't make a profit on the 26 or 292..e

I agree with sbardy69 - I think you can make a profit all day long on the 26 and the 292... if you had access to them at msrp. Not very likely IMO...

For me, i'd want a 26, i would love to have a PVD PAM, and i also want to have a watch for the right wrist due to certain work situations and so on.

The 292 looks great, and it makes me laugh a little bit with the pig on the dial, i know it sounds bad but everytime i see the 292 pig i see two jellybabies on the pig, i know they're meant to be divers but i can't get that damn jellybaby thought out of my head

I'm not sure if you read my post clearly. I said if you can get a 26 or 292 at MSRP..great, and you'll probably make money if you want to flip. But, if you buy over MSRP, you're going to be surprised to see how dry the market is for those watches. This is all assuming you were buying to flip.

Let's be honest, you're paying $10K plus for a PVD'd blackseal or luminor. At that price point, I think it's excessive. I'd prefer to get a Logo/Blackseal/Luminor, PVD it, and keep the remaining bounty.

I just find it odd that people ask other strangers to help them choose what watch they should buy. I see it all the time so don't take it personal. If you're going to spend that much money on any watch, I'd like to hope you choose which one u really like, and not listen to some guy across the world.

Usctrojan, i appologize for jumping the gun on your post and not reading it clearly... then the reposts made it seem like i was taunting which i also appologize for. I have yet to see a 292 or 26 in person, but i am attending a dinner on friday night for panerai. My ad says that the panerai rep will have both watches there... So I will truly see which watch i like better and the chances of me getting ahold of one...

I am fortuanate enough to own a 292 and have had a 195 on the wrist at a GTG.I dont like the dextro design on the 26 and will buy a 28 if my AD gets one (and wants to sell it to me .. )

A black Panerai is a wonderful addition to any Panerai collection. It ads to the diveristy of the brand.

The nicest one is the one you can find !! If you like it,buy it !!
