Current price for the 312?
Hi
I was reading on another forum, that the USA price is going to be different to what everyone was first told. When I placed my deposit I was clearly told that the price for the 312 would be £4300, not a penny more and not a penny less (maybe a free strap, lol) Anyway, I would like to know if anyone has heard anything different to that UK price? I think the USA price was at first $6300 and now they are quoting $7400, which I feel is very unfair if true. |

Yeah, I read it too. Don't know. Panerai has done this before.

Thats what I am thinking Tuisquash, I suppose we have to wait for people to start collecting their watches to find out how much they are being charged.

Here's the official Panerai 2009 pricelist effective from today, the 312 is £4300 which is the price you will pay.

Thanks for the price list ryan, I will now study it, I am glad the price is the same, my love affair with the 312 would have faded fast!! I would have gone for a more basic model and enjoy the straps. It sucks that the price as changed for the US though.

Am I reading that price list correctly? My currency converter is telling me that, for example, the PAM 24 I'm after is 3800 British Pounds. That equals $5,500 USD. But the PAM 24 retails here for $6800. Huh?

That maybe correct, the pound value is currently lower than the dollar. The UK is most prob the cheapest place to get things.

A couple of years ago we were getting $2.10 to the £1, now it's more like $1.44 to the £1 and we're now the cheapest place to get PAMs, and that's even after the price increase that happened yesterday!

IIRC my AD quoted me a price of $6800 USD for a 312 and $7850 USD for a 320, but this was in early February and I could be off on the amounts. I'll have to see if i can find my posts from then.

Bit of a newbie queston here, but the 320 and 321 state on the list that they are just "black dials" but the images on Panerai look like they are the "sandwich" type, do Panerai change the type of dials they put on watches?

They are indeed sandwich dials, although Panerai refer to the colour of the dial, such as black, tobacco, white, etc.

Cheers for that guys - the sandwich dials look cool :-)
Again hope this isn't to much of a dumb question but from the price list above I note that some of the dials actually specify sandwich (eg 312) but things like the 321 just state black dial (even though it has a sandwich), is there any reason for this? and how do you know what you are getting without calling on you lot every time, was in an AD today and they didn't seem too clued up about the options ? |

Hey knotty, the list isn't very good, but it's what the ADs get off Panerai.com. Most dealers will be able to give you some information about the watches, but if you want anymore then this place and paneristi.com are the best places to go for more information from people who have the watches and have the knowledge, it's always worth coming here to ask a few questions before buying a PAM, and we're a nice bunch so don't worry too much ![]()

Thanks for the welcome.
Tried a few on today at AD and they are top watches at present I like the look of:- Luminor GMT (PAM088) Radiomir Chrono / 8 Day (Tried both these on) From the new range the PAM312, 320 and 321 's - not sure what availability will be like on these. Likely to be making a decision in the next week or so - feel free to fire in some thoughts. |

Went into AD today and tried a few on, current shortlist :-
Radiomir Chrono or 8 day (tried both these on) Luminor GMT (PAM088) PAM312 / 320 / 321 Not sure on availability of the new watches so a long / unknown wait may count these out, but the pics on the panerai website look fantastic. I am looking ideally for an automatic movement with the sanwich dial, I know the Chrono and GMT don't quite come in on this but the 088 looks fanatic in all the pics I have seen. Any thoughts / suggestions more than welcome. |
