My First Panerai

This brand is growing on me.

I do love my Rollies but getting hooked on this brand.

I love it.. looks good and fits well.

Bought from a Rolex/ Panerai dealer.

The leather bands are a great change for me.

Big congrats on the 88 !!!

Always a bold and daring step for a Rolex man to buy that first PAM !!

Now for some nice straps from the custom makers !!

Enjoy and a very warm welcome to the Panerai world !!

thanks

i never thought i would own a non rolex.

The Panerai just got the best of me.

I am surprising my wife for Valentines Day with a Panerai 49 (white face) with a pink strap and bright red strap.

Pics to follow next week after she gets her surprise..

Feel bad but my GMT may not get the same amount of wrist time anymore!!

WOW

what a coincidence!!!

Now,

I have a QU since I am a new Pan owner...

Most numbers have 4 hash marks between them so you can tell the exact minute,,

At a closer look there are only 3 hash marks between the 5 and 6, 6 and 7,, 11 and 12 and 12 and 1..

How can i determine the exact timing on (eg) with 3 hashmarks vs 4?

thanks

Everyone is telling me ,,once you go big, you never go back.

i ve had the Pam on for 2 days!!

Not as accurate as the Rolex.. -4 seconds in 24 hrs.. GMT is perfect in the same timeframe.

Guess it meets COSC..

For Valentines Day I ordered my wife the 49 which is a 40 mm. Got her a Pink Pam band and a bright red band.

I ll take pics of the watch on her wrist after I surprise her with it on Sat.

She wants a big watch and this seems the perfect one for her (white face Luminor).

one of the nicest things about Panerai and the size vs rolex is its so easy to take a wrist picture.

they all come out great and detailed as if they are very photogenic.. lol

Thanks

Because its so big, it stands out and men will ask me,, Sir,, excuse me, what kind of watch is that?

I say, its a Panerai, an Italian watch company.

Everyone is so enthused when seeing it.

Rolex has been around the block and is very prolific there for its not the novelty like Pannie.

I do love this watch and wear it most of the time.
