so if Geneva Switzerland is GMT +2hrs & the launch is scheduled for 1st September Geneva 12am, does that mean it will launch at 10pm GMT on 31st August ?

Yes. For those of us in the UK it will be 11.00PM on 31st August (UK is currently on BST which is GMT+1). I for one will not be staying-up to see what it is that I will not be able to buy, but it will be interesting to catch-up later in the day and to see what all the fuss has been about

I thought that as this is the Basel equivalent but no it looks like it is at night.
