No not on all, but on most new models. Milgauss GV for example has no laser crown.

Just on newer ones and not even on all. According to above, the Milgauss does not have the etched crown.

I sent my DD into RSC in NYC for complete servicing, refinishing and a dial swap. It came back with NO LEC. My watch is from 1997.

Is this the norm?

I am not sure when LEC was started or when they started the "S" addition wither. Thoughts?

The only time you will have an S inside the crown is if the crystal was replaced during a service.

In answer to above, if your crystal did not have the LEC before service, even if the crystal is replaced it will typically not have the LED crystal after.
