Wearing my new Panreai 00K

I got it today, and it feels HUGE on my wrist. The search was long and tireless but I finally found something I think I will enjoy. I ended up with a BNIB 00K from a known dealer over on the Paneristi forum. I would be taking pictures right now but I have no idea were my wife left the camera, when I find it I will post some pics. I am really feeling the weight, I guess I am not used to it. The first thing I did was to take off the leather strap and put one the rubber, I do live in Arizona and about half my life is spend in the pool, yes I am exaggerating but I swim a lot. Right now I am trying to figure out if the ti model (176) might have been a better fit for me just so I don't feel the weight as much, but I think I will get used to it and learn to love it. Anyway, it feel great to own my first Pam, and I have a feeling that my Rolex models might be collecting some dust for a while.

Oh, and I already bought my first aftermarket strap, a nice vintage looking piece, I am so excited.

Congrats Trevor... I believe you will not only get used to the weight but will end up liking the heavier feel. You picked out a very cool watch. The zero is a PAM staple!

CONGRATS on a fine piece! I assure you that you'll become comfortable with the size of the watch. I know I just love my 45mm Radiomir (190). It didn't take long for me so get used to.

Can't wait to see some pics!

It looks great on your wrist! It works. I plan on getting a similar model- the 112 at some point. I'm doing it backwards though since I got the 190, then plan on getting a 233 next.

Huge congrats on the tripple zero Trevor !!!

Welcome to the most wonderful and weird panerai world !!!

Weight ?? .. Once you are used to PAM on the wrist, the others will feel tiny and ' just not right ' anymore !! It takes a day or two to get used to the "feel" and then it just feels wonderful !!

Enjoy !!!!

You will get so used to the size that the Rollies will feel puny on your wrist.

It kind of takes the wind out of your sails.

But in time you will get back to the Rollies and appreciate them too.

i have a fondness for both brands.

Thanks guys for the replies, I am really liking the simplicity of the 000. I do have ongoing thoughts in the back of my head with the 176, that is the one I was initially planning to buy before I looked hard at the 000, man that watch was comfortable on my wrist. I am getting used to the weight though, like you all said I would, it's just different.

Having the 000 does not exclude the 176.Thats the advantage ( disadvantage ?? ) of Panerai. We seldom end up with one only !! Usually the second and third soon follow !!

Hi Jason - welcome...

Trevor, the good news about the 176 - is that it is regular production which means... It will be around for quite awhile and won't be difficult to pick up down the road....

I know, but I have a 176 on the way. The 176 is the one I initially wanted, I should have followed my heart from the beginning. The 000 is a stunning watch, and I liked it very much, but I could not shake the 176 out of my head. After I bought the 000 I kept staring at pics of the 176 and 177 on the computer, that is how I knew that I bought the wrong watch for me. In a few days I will be wearing a 176, and I know I will be 100% satisfied with my purchase.
