My condolences. Hope you got a good price on it, and don't mind the no-date-no-second-hand face.

Yuck! I know they're popular but I just don't like them.

Now, using your right hand, please tattoo the word "DUMMY" across your left wrist. Don't worry, the Panerai will prevent anyone from seeing it . . . J/K

Justin,

Nothing wrong with your choice of watch since you obviously had your reasons for changing your mind. Nonetheless, I don't know that I would have posted a preference for a Panerai in a Rolex forum. If any flying objects come your way, duck and run for cover! Faith

Like my PAM 104 wore it for a year straight, but I've got the Rolex bug again. Have the SUB and new EXP II, but now I'm eyeing the Milgauss GV. Wonder if the AD in Sac that just gave me 18% off the EXP II plus free watchwinder will give me a deal on the Milgauss.

I think Panerai make nice watches, but I'm not a big fan, especially of their lower-to-mid-priced range. For instance, a Panerai Daylight costs about the same as a Rolex Deepsea but IMO, there's no comparison - the Deepsea wins hands down. However, move up the Panerai range into US$10k+ territory and things get a lot better!

Seems like you passed my favourite watch for Pam. I wonder what's your reason for doing that. Either way, great choice.
