Pam 111

I'm looking to get a new watch and this model really caught my eye. My main daily watch right now is a Rolex Submariner SS w date. As far as a Panerai goes, is this a good model to start out with? What else should I take a look at? What are you thoughts on the manual vs. automatic models?

thanks!

DL

I much prefer a manual wind to a automatic. Auto's are great but the joy of winding my watch makes me all warm and fizzy inside. It is fun to flip the watch over and look at the gears as you wind them up, you would love the 111. IMHO, true mechanical watches should be manual winds.

Manual all the way...
and welcome to the Dark Side...good choice you have there for a starter..as well as the classics . 000, 005 and 111... i would consider the latest in house movements in 312 and 233.. good luck..
