I am about to complete transaction with gentelmen from abroad. I am selling a watch for 20k. Other than money transfer, is there other safe way for me to get the money. I am willing to do transaction face to face with his middleman in US. Bank check, certified check, cash?

Irrevocable letter of credit works. See your bank's intl dept.

If a guy is doing a 20k deal and won't do a wire transfer, you should be worried.
