Icon9 Strap change button just fell out

Second time in the last couple of days it's done it, so off to the service centre for my poorly 233, don't worry too much, this is not a common occurance and i am officially the second person in the UK ever to have this happen, the first being more of an accident with the watch rather than through usage.

Let this be a warning to all strapaholics, changing straps may be hazardous to your PAMs health

The same thing happened to my Pam 250, and yes it's covered under warranty, but I was still made to pay shipping and insurance which worked out to just over $100.

I see that you live in Vancouver. Did you have your watch shiiped to the service centre through the local AD? My 233 is also having problem and I had it shipped to Richemont Toronto which in turn shipped it to Switzerland for the repair (and I'm still waiting for it be be back after 6 weeks). I paid $100 + taxes on shipping through this AD even though the watch is covered warranty.

I'm not too happy with their charge since the IWC AD in town charged half of that amount on shipping.

Interesting, the 233 has quick change and the 289 has historical screws.

It's on its way back to the service centre now, they said to take it back if it fell out again, so it'll be a few weeks without the PAM

Yikes, I'll have to keep an eye on mine! I hope your experience is better than others when it comes to dealing with Panerai service.

Let's see some pics of the RWC.

Hi Ryan,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but after 10000 strap changes the button warranty is void.

Goodluck Ryan and lets hope its not too long although you do have another PAM to ease the pain somewhat
