will JJ changes his TT GMTIIC bezel insert if a colour combo is available????

might as well have another JJ moment.....

So what do you say?

Let's say Rolex finally got around the ceramic and mutiple colouring issues and releases Coke, Pepsi and even a Sprite in ceramic guise. Do you think JJ will fancy one or more colours on his beloved TT GMTIIC?????

mmm....

Don't know about 'ol baldy but if Rolex perfects a red and blue ceramic insert I would certainly give it a look.

I don't think JJ is too fond of modding watches. Look what he thinks of the Nato...

Not on the TT.

I'm guessing Rolex will do it for the SS eventually and the IIc black will take a BIG hit. I don't care. I love this thing!!!!

Even if it is Rolex that introduces the modifications JJ, so technically, it couldn't be described as bastardizations? (which was what the OP was asking)

Thanks

And you would not be alone my friend. Still puzzled why they don't do it. Only thing I have thought of is that the green hand might have to be changed back to red.

No,
1- The cost would be prohibitive.
2- The only color that would look good is the original.
3- If Rolex releases a DJ II on super jubilee you can kiss JJ's TT GMT IIc goodbye!

I'm with you all the way JJ.

Sort of like buying an LV Submariner and the first thing done is put a black bezel insert on it you mean. Or buy a watch with PCL's then whine incessantly about them?

Maybe the same goofs buy a red car then take it home and paint it blue - instead of ordering or buying a blue GD car!?!?!?!?!?!?

!?!?!?!

Agreed with 1 and 2 - not so sure about #3.

By the time Rolex decide to come out with a 41mm DJ-II on Jubilee, I would have saved enough to afford one without sacrificing any of my existing stock.

The 3 that I have at the moment are all unique in themselves:

The Sub is an icon and is a "gift" so can never be sold. It will go down to Ronan some day.

The YM is unique in that it's the only Rolex with a Pt. dial and bezel - hard to replace with today's prohibitive prices.

The TT GMT-IIC is so damned glorious with all that 18 K SOLID gold nuggets on it and the stunning Ceramic bezel, that it stays.

Who knows......some day this collection could grow from 3 to 4!!

Cheers - JJ

some interesting replies..
As mentioned before, judging by the popular sub bezel change, i wouldnt be surprise if someone does it when it comes out one day.
