Disney- Abu Dhabi Announcement

Now you can go to a Grand Prix, shop for watches, and have a place the kiddos would love.

There are about four months a year where the weather is comfortable to be outside in Abu Dhabi. It will be interesting to see how they make this work.

Agreed about the weather. That whole area is brutal having done work in Bahrain and Saudi.
However Abu Dhabi is way nicer than Dubai or Saudi and a million times nicer than Bahrain.

Maybe a domed structure with air conditioning?

The soonest it could open would likely be 2030-32 timeframe.

Could even be hotter then

Abu Dhabi is much more family friendly than Dubai. Dubai has become the Las Vegas of the Gulf region. With Ferarri World, F1, the Louvre, and other attractions, Disney is a good fit.

But, it's on the Gulf. It's not a dry heat. It's a heat that sucks the life out of you. I vote domed and air conditioned.

If Dubai can build a ski resort, Disney should consider that idea of yours.

Ski Dubai

I've been to the ski resort inside the Mall of the Emirates. It's about the size of a large movie theater in the US. A Disney park sized dome would likely not be economically feasible. Not even Sheikh Mohammed (Emir of Dubai) has managed to build a domed attraction.
