Classic 1972 Oyster Perpetual 1011
Recently acquired a 1972 OP in 18k, with a gold linen dial. The dial is unblemished, and the narrow hands are clean, with no oxidation. The case is gorgeous with only a slight blemish on the case back. It runs on a 1570 movement. It was cleaned, serviced, and timed on a machine by the dealer. Like most, I was curious to see what the timing is. For eight days, the watch has gained + 2 seconds per day. I attribute that to the Rolex 1570 movement and a watchmaker's desire to achieve the best possible timing. It is worn with an alligator strap. I know a photo would be nice, unfortunately, the photos I have can't meet the size requirements. If I ever get one down to 1250 x 1250, I'll post it.
