My Sinn 356

Got this watch nearly a year ago, and it joins my Sub 16610 in my collection. It actually gets more wrist time than the sub. I really love this watch. Looks great, very comfortable, good AR coating on the sapphire, display back and probably the best lume I have ever seen.

Borrowed bracelet from the Sub!

Absolutly love it! If I had to pick one chrono, this would probably be it.

Anyone know the price on that watch?

Not retail, but what one can reasonably expect to pay?

Those are some nice add on bands. Sinns are very easy and fun to change bands on

Hi, I'm new to the forum.. My late brother left me this watch (amongst others) and I'm very interested in it.. I see lots of 'Fliegers' online but not the '40 JAHRE' model I have..

My brother was born in 61, so it was clearly personal to him. It needs a service as since my toddler dropped it, it's been unhappy and the date never syncs in the window. (I was wearing it daily up until then) I want it fixed.. Any advice would be very, very welcome..

Congrats....looks fabulous!!

I love EVERY model Sinn presently make........i cannot think of another watch co i could say that about.

Also i'm not really into vintage watches.....but the earlier 1970's Sinn models look amazing.

I hope to own one before year end.

Nice pics!!

Sorry about your brother.
Don't see too many Sinn 356 "40 JAHRE" as it was limited to 1,000.
The back of the watch should have serial# marking of "356.xxxx/1000" where xxxx indicating the sequence#.
You've mentioned that "date never syncs in the window" but can you be more specific as to the symptom.

Wow!! I always like the 356 but not the bracelet. Seeing that it fits on a sub bracelet is great and i'm sorely tempted now.

Hs it left any marks on the watch itself or did you protect it somehow?

Yardmanson, also sorry to hear about your brother. He and I were born in the same year, and passing in your 40's is way too young. He left you a beautiful keepsake. I really like this Sinn, but admittedly know little about the brand. It's one of the better chronos I've seen.

My condolences
I suppose you can always mail it back to Germany for servicing, though the 40 JAHRE uses Valjoux 7750 movements and should not be unfamiliar to watchmakers. I would suggest taking it in to a local watchmaker you trust to take a look first.

Love the Sinn products.
I made the mistake of letting an early 142 go last year and I regret it every day.
