Panerai PAM028 - Anyone managed to pick one up?

I'd be interested to see some real life pics.

What's the general concensus?

That's kind of my thinking, I am interested in buying a black watch but from the official pictures I've seen I don't see why this is 'special' enough to make it a limited edition and not just general production.

I was hoping someone might post a picture that makes me think wow that is a bit special, not just well its uiglier that a 90 by some way, the only 'special' part if the PVD case.

Why do you need pictures..you have already made up your mind it is Ugly!

Hint..use the "search" function and you will find some pics I posted.

2nd Hint..be polite and respectful and you may get more responses.

Have a nice day!

Told you Tommysol posted some nice pics !!

Anyway,if you dont like it thats fine, because that may give the chance to someone that really likes it ,to actually get it !!
Lets put it this way, the PAM 28 is not going to sit on the shelves at the dealer collecting dust !!

@ Tommysol, thanks for your 'hints' I did search before posting the thread as always, but searches for 028, PAM028, PVD brought me nothing....when I say thanks what I mean is I don't need your lessons in manners or politness I don't belive I've been anything but polite, I can also do without your patronising, I've been using the internet for over 15 years and know how forums work.

Perhaps I can offer you a hint, I've not said it's 'ugly' or anything which would suggest I view it as such, I just want to know what makes it 'special' enough to make it a 'special edition'. My interest is that I have first option on the one and only my dealer is getting in March next year hence am trying to find out some more via pictures of tose that have decided to purchase. At the moment other than there only being 1,000 of them, this is special at all. So back to my hint perhaps you could actually read the post before responding to it?

@ TswaneNguni, thanks, I did have a look through what seemed like masses of his posts but couldn't find anything other than a couple of shots, perhaps I have up too early as on a second review of his posts I found a couple of shots. I think I've made up my mind to pass on this now.

Maybe they'll be something really special announced at SIHH 2010.

I've search through "google > images (top left) or http://images.google.com/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi" and it has worked great for me. Searching through any forums takes a little bit more time so I can understand why you had more trouble finding what you wanted to see.

Pulpdiction, as for as the PAM 28 or something that looks like it, have you look at the PAM 317? Now that is what I call limited and special....but you will pay dearly for it IF you can get your hands on it...a little over $25,000 U.S.

The Pam 28 is absolutely gorgeous. Although the 332 is even better, I like the simplicity of the 028. It has all the functions I need such as a date and power meter. In addition, I'm an overall huge fan of the PVD Panerais. It's a good size as well; nothing too big as I have a small wrist. They're something special. Would like to acquire one someday.

The search option is a bit tricky and it doesn't let you filter on 3 or less characters it appears, but you can do nice searches like this.

Now, keep it friendly ok. You came here, asked for pics. Didn't get one right away, then going saying the watch is not as ugly as another (which people own here btw). I call that pissing in the wind and the wind blew in your face. This place is A LOT more friendly if you are.
