DeepSea Lume-shot!

Whoever said the lume on Rolex watches is no good? Here's a couple of quick lume-shots of the Rolex DeepSea for everyone to enjoy.

Sure, I'm shooting in low light and with ISO 1600, f/4,5, shutter 1/4 sec.

Very bright. If you should ever find yourself at 3,000 feet on a dive, at least you'll be able to tell what time it is.

What is the expected life-span of the luminescence on this dial?

The lume will die the same day you make the last payment on the watch

Outstanding! I really like that new blue. I wonder, is it the same on the new GMT II?
Cheers,
Carl

The DSSD uses Rolex's chromalite while the IIc uses superluminova. To me SL appears more intense initally while CL seems to have a bit more staying power.

Great shots...how long did you have to charge it before getting the shot or is the blue brighter than the "standard" green on the new MaxiDials?

I take comfort in knowing that my skeleton will be wearing a dry watch if my body ever makes it to 13,000 feet beneath the sea! ;)
