Little Snow in DC - and continues...

Little after 8:30AM...

Some snow, a downed tree, having a cup of coffee, getting worked up to go outside.

Wish I had Jocke's Snow Blower or JJ's HOT AIR to melt this down !

Two stogies and Glenfiddich to help me through the day!

Looks like heavy wet snow...be careful clearing.

Biggest problem in DC and Balto is that there is nowhere to actually plow the snow - narrow streets - they have to truck it out. Takes weeks.

Before I get started

I am glad it has only snowed about 12 inches, because I am nearly out of the 15 inches' bottle.

Hope when the guy comes with the snow plow he brings you another bottle of that 15 year old Glenfiddich!

Wow, nice photos. Been following the storm activity here from CA and noticed that the DC Metro has stopped above ground rail service.

Thanks, Dave! And yes, I could definitely use a chinook right about now to warm up the city a little. The frozen trees look pretty, but that wind sure is mean!

Add some 15-year Solara Reserve and I'll be there! Then again, like Safetrends, this Florida Native doesn't do snow!

Love the snow..but hell of a lot of work..... not to mention the heating expense (over 1K this month....I have 4 heat pumps and a large gas boiler for our water radiators)...
I do have small kids and keep it at 74.......

Snow is fun, unless you either have to work in it or around it!
