Precision 6694 Runs Slow

Hi,
I have a Precision 6694 that loses about 5 minutes per day if not worn. However, if I wear it, it seems to run just fine. Any ideas?

I'd guess a mainspring issue. When worn, the mainspring is kept at a constant tension (near full) which is ideal for timekeeping. Usually you can expect to lose a few SECONDS when the mainspring winds down, but minutes would indicate that the mainspring is probably worn out and slackening.

Experts please chime in if I'm wrong.
