What would you rather own?

I'm thinking of getting a SS Daytona but to fund it I would need to sell (or trade) my GMT IIc and Explorer II.

What would you rather have?

My current pair or a SS Daytona?

No. Do exactly the opposite. Exactly the opposite. GMT IIC trumps EXP II, everytime.

Not to me. I personally do not like or would I ever own a GMT IIc. I much prefer the GMT Pepsi between the two (for me) the Explorer II is the more desirable watch.

It's just a matter of personal preference.

X2, the Daytona does nothing for me. Go buy a Speedmaster if you want a chrono.

Keep the current pair, you'll regret selling them.

I love both your current watches -- in fact, all your current watches, incl. the non-Rolex ones --, so I wouldn't sell them.

KEEP IT! Buy the Daytona only if you do not need the date function.
I need it, so for me no date no deal.

Not a big fan of the Daytona...keep your two awesome looking watches and save money for the Daytona.
I was thinking to sell my GMT for thr SubLV and I'm very glad I didn't! Now I'm just looking forward on saving money to buy the LV and just thinking that I will buy the LV later makes me happy.
It's ok not to get everything ride away!

Of my four Rolex's, my Daytona is my favorite...so I would flip for it but you need to be 150% sure because your other two are nice as well ... In the best situation, I would save for the daytona...I did the same..

If it was only the SS Daytona we're talking about, I'd keep your two. If it was a TT Daytona, it would be a different story

I would sell the Omega, Breitling, and ExpII to fund the Daytona.

Your collection would be: Daytona, GMT IIc, Cartier Santos
A chronograph, a GMT and a white face. Done.

Logic tells me to keep and save. I agree, I think you will later regret losing the two you have. Save and look forward to adding a third to your collection. You will always be able to get a Daytona and there will always be a deal - when you are ready!

It's an interesting alternative, but I'd like to keep the Planet Ocean (on a brown croc strap) and the Superocean Heritage (black rubber strap) to have something with straps and not only ss bracelets.

I have an incoming AP RO 15300 with a black dial, that makes the black dialed GMT IIc a candidate for departure... the Daytona would be a white dial.

The Santos belonged to my father and I don't wear it much (too small) so I'm trading it with my brother for a gold vintage Baume & Mercier on a strap that I think will get more wrist time (the B&M also belonged to my late father).

Thanks for the comments so far, keep them coming!!
