New Omega store opening just 2 doors from a Rolex store in So Calif
I was just in South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA yesterday and noticed the sign for a upcoming Omega store just two doors down from the Rolex store.
Will it create price competition or just be a race to the top of the price points? |

There are already Omega Boutiques at the Beverly Center (near Beverly Hills) as well as Topanga Canyon Mall (Woodland Hills, San Fernando Valley).
Of course they are going to open these boutiques next to Rolex Stores.........they're competitors.......that's how business rolls!!!! The concept behind the boutiques is to eliminate discounting of these brands by controlling supply and pricing. The more boutiques that open, the less independent ADs there will be. Less ADs mean less discounting means higher prices for us, the consumer. |

I'm going to be going to South Coast Plaza next week. I would have loved to have gone to the new Omega Boutique. Argh. Maybe I'll get to see it next year.
