Why Haven't I Seen This in Ad's Before?
I saw this posted here on TrF actually and I was wondering why I'd never seen it in an AD.
I have to admit, its been a while since an Omega has really jumped out at me but this one looks great! Has anyone seen one of these in person? And why aren't they in any of the ADs i've seen? |

I haven't seen it in person, however it appears to be on their website. Talk to your AD and see if they can order it for you. Looks pretty good.

It is a lovely watch and I was going to buy it until I tried it on at a local AD and discovered its thickness. Even though it is a 40mm watch it is a tad thicker than my 42mm Speedmaster. The Speedy's thickness is partially the high dome crystal but this watch was sapphire and didn't have the illusion of svelteness the Speedy possesses.
I flipped my Tudor chrono for the exact same reason, it was a bit too thick for me. This watch seemed to be the exact same size and the same disproportionate thickness so I passed on it. But it is a looker.

I tried one on while in the US.. feels a lot larger than my Daytona.
Beautiful watch - I think it has even more character on a cordura strap |

Yep this was an update to their date range that came out last year and I saw it at the omega boutique in Royal exhange last summer.
You can still get the older date with different sub-dial layout and date at the 3 o'clock position, both on the omega website. |

Yeah I want one badly. I tried it on at a local AD and didn't have an issue with the thickness. Nice watch and it fit really well.

I owned one, it was a fantastic watch. I think they were a limited release for the Japanese market a few years ago? They have one at the Omega boutique in Natick, Mass.

I must say that I am in the strap camp as well.
While it looks great on the bracelet, I think it just pops a lot more on the strap. Buy it on bracelet then order the strap separately. Best of both worlds.
