For those who might miss the 36mm Explorer, the OP is a good substitute, besides being an exquisite watch in its own right.

Oh, and the hands aren't too short!

I had this particular model as a companion piece to the 36 Explorer. Honestly I loved the look of the watch & the detail. I liked the lack of polished links & the overall size.

BUT - I found it difficult to read.

I'm not sight challenged (thanks lasik) but the contrast between the hands & the dial is pretty minimal.

So as a wrist accessory, it's great. As a timepiece, it didn't work for me.

I think it is a good investment watch. Especially with one of the funky dials. They are very UNpopular now and will most likely be discontinued soon, but I have a feeling in about 20-30 years they will be worth a fortune.
