help with overhaul

I have a 1002 watch, manufactured in 1969. I have no idea if it has ever been serviced or overhauled, but it doesn't seem to be working very well. I heard Rolex will not service a watch made before 1970, is that true? If so, who would you recommend I send it to for refurbishment and how much would it cost??

I just really need to know where to send it for an overhaul. Someone who will do a good job but not gouge me in price. I suppose the overhaul might cost more than the watch is worth.

you can just call them and ask if they will service it based on the model number. honestly, with the value of that watch, you will probably be better off finding a local watchmaker.

Rolex won't do the service because it's too old. I'm trying to find a watchmaker, if you know someone that is good, let me know. I can send it anywhere, so they don't have to be local.
