Crown gaurds are the dead give away. The sun hides everything else but i thing the bezel pearl is wrong too.

I see what you are saying about the crown guards but the pics aren't very good. I'm no expert but better pics would be helpful. For the sake of the person who purchased it I hope you are wrong.

It's fishy. For the reasons mentioned by daunwaun and the fact that the date looks white...and he says has 12 sub on the 20th of August and today he says 8. But I am not sure about this one. So i'll stay out of it.

Now I've seen everything. Ebay's one thing, but the Forum...
 Next thing you know these replicas will be sold at AD's.I wonder how many people out there "think" they bought a genuine Rolex but are wearing a replica and don't even know it. |

I don't see anything wrong with the bezel pearl or crown guards. Photography is not perfect.
Just offering my unsolicited opinion which often upsets some serious people.

I just compared my Blue TT Sub to the pics. The crown on the dial is too big. The Rolex on the dial looks too big. The color of the blue looks wrong too...
The gold color on the bezel looks wrong. Good spot. Who is the poor guy who bought this. Do not send payment until you get this sorted!! |

Lighting has a lot to do with the overall perception of both the guards and the pearl. It's really hard to tell. Wish an expert would chime in

there is nothing wrong with the lighting...look i have called out every fake in the last 6 months on this forum, my real concern here is that one of our members has been ripped off for 4200

Gosh that is scary! I have seen up close a blue TT sub that was a "high quality" fake and I tell you if you are not a Rolexaholic it could pass!!

I am wondering why more isnt done about these fakes. I mean hell, if they are selling that many half we see when we are checking out wrists may be fakes! When I was 15 I bought a $40 dollar fake datejust TT and you could spot it as a fake a mile away!! I read that they are making solid 18K gold Prezes and getting like 4 grand for them!!! WhoTF would buy a 4 thousand dollar fake watch!!!!!???????

The bezel pearl does seem to be very off-centered. Date magnification also looks a bit off. Comparing it to an SS Submariner pic, the "Swiss Made" seems to be too close to the six o'clock marker. Yup, crown does look to be big. The "5" font on the bezel also looks wrong to me. Just my 2 cents.
