So, what is the number 1 on your wishlist for 2012 ?
Not your Holy Grail, not something you only dream of but will never buy
I mean the piece you WILL buy if you can get it For me it changed .... Is was a Panerai 449 but I found (imo) something much more interesting this is it, Zenith Montre d'Aéronef Type 20 with a very special vintage movement

I will not buy anything this year. Will check out First Omega in Space though. Looks very promising.

WG Daytona with a black dial ( or slate not yet decided )
Two things holding me back - 1/ need to get to US - prices lower then in EU enough to pay the trip and holiday - or find a good deal here 2/ curious what Basel 2013 will bring in terms of Daytonas |

I'm thinking JLC Reverso TT 1931, and maybe AP 15300 white/blue dial in the mix.

Got all 3 of them: AP RB2 Ti, Patek 5980R, and JLC Duometre Quantieme Lunaire RG. No more on my radar as of now. But---Who knows??? I have a bet with my wife that I can go 60 days without a watch purchase and she isn't buying it. I love a good challenge!

Not sure yet (what I meant was I have not found anything that makes my heart skips a beat...)
But who knows. It's only April. |

There are a couple Rolex purchases already in the works for this
year, they will be spear out over the course of the year. They are all pieces I consider truly grail worthy but you will just have to wait and see. The true "Grail" which I will not have this year is the Patek 5960P..... If I didn't have such a hang up against leather I would likely drop the majority of my collection for it but as I said I can't wear leather daily and for some reason there are not many watches other than Rolex where I really like the bracelet.

I'm playing it cool in 2012 and strictly on a one-out-one-in basis.
I can forsee a white 216570 in my near future though, once street prices have settled. 116509, maybe.

I've picked up a PAM320 and an AP ROO Safari within a month.
I am done for 2012...and 2013 and probably 2014. DrC

I'm thinking about picking up a 114060M. But realistically speaking, most likely this year I won't buy any watches...

2011 was quite a big watch year for me so I think 2012 will be a little more relaxed.
But having said that..... I've bought a JLC Deep Sea Tribute and a TT Lady DateJust so far this year and its only the beginning of April .......so we will have to see how the year ahead unfolds...... But in relation to what's out there, if I do decide to add to the collection, I have a hankering for PP ..... Perhaps the gorgeous 5726/1A-010. Alternatively a vintage Daytona 6241 with exotic dial may be another possibility. I have enough volume now so the "less is more" approach for me......... |

Bought a GMT and a sea dweller this year so I'm done, I'm going to save this year, but would like a 666 SD next year or I'll see how prices fair on the hulk.

I have an El Primero on the way. I'm also toying with the idea of a ref 1675 GMT and /or 8500 series Aqua Terra (maybe with blue dial, not released yet). I try to subscribe to the 'buy one, sell one' rule so some stock would need to go to fund any such decision(s).

Not in the market for anything this year. Just a few straps and such. I was thinking of getting a vintage TAG Heuer F1 from the late 80's/early 90's, but I don't think I'll get one.

I will probably buy three or four watches this year. One will be a perpetual calendar . I haven't settled on the exact model yet, but at the moment it seems likely that it will be a Ulysse Nardin. As for the others, who knows

AP ROO Chrono 44mm or Thames Panda. Ladies DJ for my fiancé. I need a dress watch so I might pick up an IWC too. The portifino and Portugese I really like.

I was so sure it would be a Zenith El Primero, but I ordered a Dornbluth instead. Hopefully it will arrive before year end.
