Whay do you think?
As you know, I've got to go to New York, as my Sub date, two months old, is running 5 sec. a day slow, do you think I should get it regulated? I'd rather it run fast, my GMTII is +1sec. I've got to admit, it bugs me. Do you think I could just drop it off, and have them mail it back?
![]() How do you get one of those big Rolex catalogs, I've never had a AD have any to give out, what's the secret to getting one? Last edited by Atl; 4 November 2005 at 01:59 PM.. |

The age and service history have alot to do with how they will react, at least in my personal expierence with Dallas RSC. Being that it is so new, they might actually do a day job, that is what they did with my YM. I dropped it off, waited for them to look at it, then the nice lady asked me to come back in a few hours, or they would call my cell when it was done.
Two hours later it was done, and 8 months later the thing gains all of about 2 seconds on the + side a month. Pretty damn good. ![]() ![]()

As far as the catalouge, either get one of the guys from out of the states to mail you one, sleep with your AD or just beg said AD until they slip you one and swear you to secrecy or death.

Try placing it crown UP on the dresser at night for a week or so and see if it gains. All the Rollies I've owned always seem to gain in crown UP position and lose time in crown DOWN position. Good luck - JJ ![]()

They should be able to regulate while you wait or just a few hours
While in Singapore a few years ago,had mine done took about 20 mins. Like you would prefer + a few secs, your watch is just out of spec. But try what JJ suggested first, try different positions crown up/down, face up/down, see if your watch gains off your wrist overnight first. You don't want to get the back off unnecessarily. ![]()

Auckland (Southern Hemisphere) you leave it crown up. I think we have made a major scientific discovery here. Anyone want to petition for the Nobel Prize in horology? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I've tried it all, the watch is remarkably consistant, face up, down, crown up, and down, no matter, -5 secs. a day. I think it's trying to spite me. If I was in Kiwi land would it be +5?
