NEW Diver landed this weekend

First I want to take the time to thank everyone here for the warm wishes and all the pics they posted of their Divers. Everyone has been great in answering questions and welcoming me to the AP section of the forum. So thank you to all.

I ended up purchasing my Diver from Mosco (Greg). He has been a great friend of mine over the last several years and it was nice to be able to give him some of my limited business. I dont purchase a large amount of watches so when i do if i can buy one from a buddy that makes it better for me. Obviously there are several great TRF dealers here that could have taken care of me and some even offered (Davidson for one). But I just had to get it from Greg. I hate to drive it in the ground but he was outstanding to deal with. (for those of you who have not dealt with him) If you NEED a diver, contact Mosco cause i think he has a few incoming if not just laying around.

Thanks again and here is ONE crappy iphone pic. but ill post more in the future. I just mainly wanted to say "thanks" to everyone here. The xl strap ended up being a tad too long for me. so its currently on the regular strap. so i guess i have an XL strap just laying around now..... oh well!

I am blown away with the quality of this watch. it has operated flawlessly and the finish is better than any other watch i have owned. it is really a true gem in my eyes. I love everything about it minus the hidden movement. but thats no biggie. questions, comments, concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me!

Cheers!

Thanks guys. I tried this on about 1.5 years ago in Vegas. While only on in the store for a brief moment, it left an impression. The dial is amazing in direct light. and it is WAY comfortable on my wrist. Not too heavy, nothing rubs your wrist. it just sits there perfectly.

For anyone wanting a clean dial AP its a great choice IMO. i prefer sportier watches and this just works.

Thanks so much guys! It is amazing the friendships you can make here. Im truly blown away with how people treat you here and I can only hope to pay it back in the future. Anything i can ever do for anyone here in KY i will.

@emagni - Greg was amazing. I have gotten to know him, hang out, have a few cold ones, and he is as good as they come. I consider him family. So it was my pleasure to give him my business. No worries about sending money to a guy you KNOW. but with that said i havent had any issues on this forum with that. Everyone seems very honest and are truly happy to see everyone doing well and enjoying our hobby.

Best wishes to everyone here!!!

Ed, I agree with you and I find that TRF is full of members who are honest and straightfoward. Can't say that for other forums.....must be unique to TRF.

Congrats on the Diver, Ed! Wear it
in good health. Did you end up needing the longer strap?

I don't mean to hijack the thread, Ed, but now that you have both straps...how much longer is the XL? Is it still 2 or 3 holes like you had originally thought?

1. Excellent choice of watch and band. I think it looks best as is, but I am partial to straps and realize that may not be ideal for hot or humid weather.

2. Bummer about the NYC Boutique. I agree they should have offered you an exchange or store credit. I tend to not complain, but would boycott them in future.

3. Panerai is as iconic as the Royal Oak and so different that they are almost complements. You might want to place them side by side and ask non WIS folks to take a peek.
